Beauty C – Identity After Motherhood

One reason a lot of my clients list on their contact form is “finding my identity after motherhood.” This is why they are taking the leap and doing a boudoir photoshoot. They want to find themselves again. Like most women, Beauty C felt as though she had lost her identity after becoming a mom. She said she wanted to feel and see what her husband sees when he looks at her.

During our prep and design phone call, Beauty C and I discussed her outfits, sets she wanted, and any other details that were important to her photoshoot. We decided that this green, lace bodysuit would be the perfect outfit for her in front of our mirror set. The color really works well with her complexion and it really made her eyes pop!

I love to incorporate my clients and their partners hobbies, careers, etc into their shoots. It’s what makes the shoot more relatable to each individual gal. Beauty C wanted to incorporate her husband’s love of football as well as his career into her shoot, since these images were a gift for him. I love helping my clients put together albums and other gifts for their partners from their images.

Beauty C truly found her identity after motherhood again during her shoot. I watched her come alive and watched her confidence grow as the session progressed. That is one of my favorite parts about my job. Helping my clients to see themselves for the true beauties they are.
